This gentle flowing, 50 foot waterfall is located about 6.5 miles on U.S. Highway 276 from the intersection of U.S. Highway 64, which is near Brevard in the western part of North Carolina.

A charming part of this waterfall is the ability to walk behind it and be under a large overhang of rock . Visitors can walk the 3/4 mile (1.2 km) trail to the falls with ease.

Moor Cove Falls is one of the most enchanting of locations that I have had the privilege to photograph.

Dry Falls (aka. Upper Cullasaja Falls) is a popular 65-foot (20.1 m) waterfall located 3 miles northwest of Highlands. Canyon on Lake Powell

Arizona

When Glen Canyon Dam was completed in 1963 on the Colorado River, it created Lake Powell. This is one of those many inlets which ebb and flow depending on the rainfall upstream. However, in recent years it’s been more ebb than flow due to periods of extended drought.

More than 2 million people a year visit the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area which encompasses Lake Powell.

Canyon Glow – Antelope Canyon

Page, Arizona, USA

Inside a slot canyon are endless surreal rock formations that make up a rich geology. The Upper and Lower Antelope located near Page in Arizona are two of the most spectacular ones to be found within this Colorado Plateau area. Shaped by erosion and the movement of tectonic plates, these extraordinary labyrinths twist and turn through the red slot canyons.

The interplay of shadows and light over the water scarred walls help to turn photographs into wonderful abstracts. There are many open slot areas, where at the right time of day, the sun shines down vertically producing a light trail as it lights up the slot floor area. Water that gushes through these walls flows into Lake Powell, which feeds the Colorado River a short distance away.
